Cancellations and refunds
Our sugar products are made to order and created as soon as payment has been received. Once the order has been placed, refunds or cancellations are unavailable. Please make sure you love your item before placing an order.
If your sugar product arrives damaged, please contact me for assistance.
Deliveries are made via the Royal Mail.
When will my order be dispatched?
Our products are made per request. Delivery time is dependent on order quantity. Should you wish to bulk order products, please contact me for an approximate delivery date.
We use PayPal to receive payment. Unfortunately Paypal will not allow guest checkout at the moment which means you will need to create an account with them. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Caring for your products
Please be very careful when handling and removing the products from their packaging.
Please keep them away from direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place. Do not put them in the fridge as they may go soft and/or sticky.
How long will sugar products last?
Sugar figures: best consumed within a couple of weeks. If kept as ornamental figures, they will last a long time. As always, keep in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Lollies: about 3-4 weeks after you receive them. Lollies can last a lot longer if kept unwrapped in a cool (not fridge) dry place. Once the lollies start to go cloudy (crystallise) I would recommend not to eat as they will lose firmness and go soft (not the best way to enjoy them)!
Biscuits: best to eat within a week of receiving to maintain freshness. They can be eaten after a week, but they may be slightly softer.
Cake lace: will last for weeks. Keep lace in its original packaging until ready to use. Leaving lace in the open air will dry the pieces out and make them hard to work with.
If you request delivery of your order well before the date of your event, we cannot guarantee freshness.
As I work from home in my kitchen, I cannot guarantee the absence of any allergen. If you are concerned, please contact me for further details.
All sugar products are edible. Please be aware the figures contain wooden (unedible) cocktail sticks or similar to support them from within.
Be particularly aware when giving the product to children or the elderly.
It will be the responsibility with the customer to inform those whom are receiving Sugar Delights goodies of the above ‘Food Facts’.
As colours differ on various devices, it is impossible to achieve a like- for-like shade. However, every effort is made to seek the very best likeness.
I produce handmade and handcrafted figures that aren’t produced in a factory, so each piece may vary slightly in appearance.
How to attach lace to a cake
To attach lace to a sugar paste iced cake, apply a small amount of cooled boiled water or edible glue on the cake and position the lace where required. Press the lace gently to the cake to avoid damage to the lace and cake.
Attach lace to a royal iced cake in the same way.
It is not recommended you attach lace to a butter creamed cake as the lace will fall apart. However, if this is necessary attach the lace as late as possible to the cream.
